THE TRINITY PROJECT
A chronology of the life changing event of having triplets.
Just like his dad!

Everett has recently discovered Jason's palm pilot, and in it has found a brand new toy. Like Jason, he just can't seem to keep his hands off the little buttons and feels the need to play with it almost constantly. If this is any indication of what the future holds, he will be just like his cousin Gabriel operating a laptop computer by the time he's 3. Granddad Simpson would be so proud.
Look Ma, no hands!
Grace, being funny.
When Everett gets into a book, he really gets into it!

Last week Grandma Simpson sent the kids a few more books from Nova Scotia. All 3 have really taken to the 'Snowy Bear'. I am not sure if its the crinkle paper or what but they all love the book. Everett especially has taken a fond interest in the book. When he gets into a book, he literally gets into it.Thanks to Grandma & Granddad Simpson for the books, we have read all of them already.
Uncle Jeff comes for a visit

Great uncle Jeff had a few days off so he had decided to come to the north for a visit. As always, it was another fun-filled visit feeding babies, eating Mahi-Mahi and having lively nursery rhyme sing-alongs. It had been a few months since Jeff saw them and I think he was a little surprised at how baby-like they were. Between Grace's tribal yells to Everett's non-stop 'razz'berries, I think Jeff had a good laugh. One of these visits we are gonna get you to change a diaper. Its just like riding a bike, you don't really forget.
If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em

Since the arrival of our human bundles of joy, our other children have been somewhat neglected. Presley figures if the attention won't come to her she will come to it. She now joins in on the playtime fun mat. Riley wants nothing to do with the funtime play mat.
Mobility has begun!

Since our last Infant Development appointment we have been concentrating our efforts on rolling over and sitting. Well over the weekend, everyone is almost sitting by themselves and all are rolling over in 1 direction. (on purpose!) Grace was the first to sit on her own, with Everett right behind and Avery bringing up the rear. Everett was interested in playing with a kleenex box, Avery was interested in her toes and Grace wanted to know what everyone else was playing with.
Grandpa Needs a Vacation
As everyone knows Grandpa Howatt has faithfully appeared every morning with coffee and timbits in hand ready to start yet another baby day. But it looks like even Grandpa Howatt needs a vacation from time to time. Over the past week all 3 have caught another cold, which has made it very tiring for all. With runny noses and pitiful little coughs, and not to mention the general crankiness, this week has certainly wiped us all including Grandpa.
Happy St. Patrick's Day

Thanks to Auntie Marilyn for the St. Patrick's Day bibs!!!
Extra Large Please!

It looks like Grandpa Howatt will have to get Everett a coffee when he comes in the morning now. Not only does he have to get mommy & daddy, Riley & Presley their morning fix, but now Everett too. With these costs adding up, we might have to give Grandpa a pay raise!
Dinner in the barn

The kids' table & chairs have certainly come in handy, and not for the kids I might add. Since their evening playtime and our dinner time happen to coincide we decided combined the two activities. The only problem with having them at the dinner table is the constant staring. Its actually worse than eating in the living room with 2 dogs watching. At least when you tell them to go lay down, they stop staring, but with the kids they don't stop.
Its a little heart-breaking because they stare at you with these sad 'I cannot believe you're not giving me any' eyes, the exact same eyes Riley gives you when anyone has any food in a 2 mile radius. They don't seem to care that they have JUST finished a bottle full of formula, 1/3 cup of cereal, and 1 tbsp of vegetable.
Our last RSV injection

Since the babies were about 3 months old we have been receiving RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) injections every month, and on Friday was our last injection. Aside from a few minor sniffles, we were fortunate not to have experienced the virus. Thanks to Nurse Wendy for all her hard work. Nurse Wendy was the very same nurse who single handedly taught Everett how to drink from a bottle, and ever since then there has been no stopping him. I hope everything goes well for you, and you have success with your RSV program. Believe it or not we will miss seeing familiar faces every month.
Mommy's Boy
There are 2 ways we can tell that Everett is our kid. One, he is Jason's mini-me, so he cannot deny that Everett is his son, but another way is he has recently been caught enjoying his thumb. For those who did not know me when I was a child, I was an avid thumb-sucker. According to the stories, I loved sucking my thumb so much when my mother would take me to the department store I would sit under the clothing rack and feel all the fabrics until I had found just the right one and start suckin' away. Although it ruined my teeth forcing my parents to pay thousands of dollars to fix them, it has taught me what an especially excellent fabric is all about. Now hopefully when I take Everett to the store he doesn't feel the need to sit amongst the dresses and find the perfect fabric, but learning from my parents I promptly take his thumb out and stick a soother in instead.
Singing in the bathtub

Here are a few bath time pictures for your viewing pleasure. Note Graces' hair. Not only is she cursed with Jason's hair but his belly as well. HeeHee
Successful Completion of AquaTots

Over the weekend was the final Saturday for the AquaTots swimming class. Needless to say we graduated, but on questionable grounds. In order to graduate, a few skills were required. For example, on the Entry & Exit section, I do not believe they can enter & exit the pool from a sittting position unless someone tosses them in. Second, the jumping into the pool on their own, this is pretty much self explanatory. They do however have accomplished a few skills such as being able to do a star on both their backs & tummies, this part is true.
If you look carefully on Everett's diploma he is unable to do the bicycle on the Movement Skills, however I do not recall being asked to prove whether or not he can ACTUALLY do the bicycle.
It is also funny to note that we are able to wear life jackets, seeing as they did not have any jackets that were small enough for us to even wear.
Jason seems to think they have accomplished all the required skills to graduate, and I think the instructor was a little generous.
Despite the controversy, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and will be enrolling in AquaTots 2.
Welcome Ava Marie Bignucola!!

I
would like to take this opportunity to post a few pics of the newest addition to the Dubreuil/Bignucola family. Ava Marie was born on Monday afternoon much to the surprise of their parents Jenny & Rob. Since Jenny's due date wasn't until March 7th, we were all surprised when Nana Dubreuil called early Tuesday morning to announce her news. Congratulations to Jenny & Rob, who are truly blessed with their new little girl.
Are carrots really necessary?

We have recently begun our journey into the wide-world of vegetables. Our first journey began with carrots, however not with the enthusiasm that I was hoping for. Our first attempt was a flop with all of them rejecting them outright. Our second & third try were a little more successful with Everett eating his entire serving. Avery eats 4-5 spoonfuls but Grace (Little Miss Princess) has absolutely no desire to give them a fair try. At least we know her gag-reflex works. She is VERY similar to Auntie Shannon when it comes to food. Grace will store everything on her tongue, and not swallow. We even try to trick her by serving cereal along with the carrots, but she was quick to catch on to us, and even refused to eat the cereal. We then moved on to the sweet potato, and I thought for sure they would all be very interested. Everett ate his entire bowl (we are now up to 1 tbsp), Avery 4-5 spoonfuls, but that girl Grace, gags at even the smallest spoonful. We have a few more days on the sweet potato then we are moving to peas. Grace will be just thrilled.
