Our last RSV injection

Since the babies were about 3 months old we have been receiving RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) injections every month, and on Friday was our last injection. Aside from a few minor sniffles, we were fortunate not to have experienced the virus.
Thanks to Nurse Wendy for all her hard work. Nurse Wendy was the very same nurse who single handedly taught Everett how to drink from a bottle, and ever since then there has been no stopping him. I hope everything goes well for you, and you have success with your RSV program. Believe it or not we will miss seeing familiar faces every month.

Could you please explain why the babies had to have those needles. Marilyn
RSV is a very serious respiratory infection. Because the triplets were born at 31 + 5 weeks they are more susceptible to lung/respiratory infections. The RSV injections reduce our risk to getting it.
Most children will have an rsv infection by the time they are 5yrs old. But for tiny babies it "cloggs" up their airway big time. So we've delay the kids from getting it this year till there bigger and more able to fight it.
Ps the actual drug name is Synagis.
And is $1500 dollar an injection.
They are truely million dollar babies
Huggs Wendy
