Kicking off the Christmas Season

Last night we attended the annual Santa Claus parade and yet again the kids continue to amaze me with their behaviour. We had been talking about the parade and seeing Santa for a couple of days, so they were pretty excited to go. All suited up in our snowsuits we made our way to the downtown core. We found a good spot and squatted with our blanket and snacks. For the entire 2 hours, they sat patiently on the sidewalk with no whining or complaining. Everett didn't speak to anyone for 2 hours with his eyes glued to the next oncoming big rig. Grace was waving to all the floats as they went by saying hello to every reindeer, polar bear and elf she saw. Avery was well, Avery. Talk, talk, talk.

When Grace woke this morning, the first thing she said was she had fun at the parade, and she wanted a dolly from Santa.

What a great way to kick off the Christmas Season.

It sounds like everyone had a magical time at the parade. Merry Christmas! How many candy canes were consumed?
It looked like Christmas in Barrie this morning -six inches of snow.
