Happy Halloween!!
This years' Halloween festivities were a complete success. They started trick or treating about 5:45, and didn't stop until 8 pm. We had been practising saying 'trick or treat' for about 3 days, and from the minute I got home from work they wanted to put on their costumes. We quickly wolfed down our pizza dinner, donned our outfits and started our neighborhood canvas for sweets.
Everett went as a dragon, Grace went as a zebra, and Avery went as a ladybug. Everyone got to pick their own costumes, and Avery had been talking about her ladybug costume since we took it out of the basement.
Once we exhausted the resources in our own neighborhood we made our way over to Linda & Walters where the kids discovered a land full of candy. They even helped Linda give out candy. Avery was in charge of giving out the pop, Everett was in charge of the little candy, doling out handfuls at a time, and Grace was in charge of the chips & cookies. More bags of cookies ended up in her loot bag than given out to other trick or treaters.
And in the end, even the big kids had a good time.
