The renovations have begun

Since the recent hiring of Leticia our new nanny, we have started the preparations for her arrival. For those who didn't know, we hired a lovely Filipino lady from Hong Kong and her name is Leticia. She is 43 years old, married but no children. She has been a nanny for about 8 years, and she is expected to arrive in mid-September. We found her through Diamond Personnel, which is a nanny-matching service. We were first introduced to the idea by our High-Risk pregnancy nurse from Mount Sinai Hospital.

Day care was simply not financially feasible, so this is the next best thing. She has signed a 2 year contract with but we hope she will stay for about 4-5 years until this kids start school.

Anyway we have started the basement renovations where she will have her personal space/bedroom. I would have liked to have done the space myself, but time just doesn't permit. I have hired a contractor, and they look after everything, all I have to do is sign the cheque. Perfect. We are finishing the living room, as well as finishing the bathroom. Its been about 2 weeks and things are progressing.
