Feeding Time at the Zoo
Every 4 hours or so its feeding time at the zoo. If this is any indication of what it is going to be like to feed 3, we are going to have to plastic wrap the entire kitchen. About 1 week before Christmas, we started on cereal. Yup, the hard stuff. Everett took to it like a starving dog, Avery was a little apprehensive, and Grace found it down-right objectionable. But since the first taste test, much has changed. Everett is still the starving dog, as well as Avery. They just can't seem to get it fast enough. Grace is starting to enjoy it much more, and literally chews it like she was sitting down for a steak and potato dinner.
Since their ability to hold their heads steady has been mastered, we have found the BUMBO's have really come in handy when its time to eat.
In about a month or so we will be introducing veggies. That should be really interesting.
Take note of Grampa Howattt's open mouth, why is it that you just can't help but open your mouth when you are trying to feed some else?
Food for thought. HeeHee

Both pics are of Avery
You can almost read Avery's mind, she's saying "Okay Grampa you can close your mouth now. I know how to do it". I love her little pointie nose. I have a special request - when are we going to get a "family" picture? Come on Grampa Howatt round them up. Marilyn.
I have been wondering since I read your latest entry as to why is it that you just can't help but open your mouth when you are trying to feed someone else. I think that when you are holding an eating utensil, be it a spoon or fork in your hand and regardless if you are feeing or eating, the brain locks on an imaginary string connecting your hand to your mouth. Everytime your hand moves your mouth opens. It's funny, we don't get the same reaction when we hand someone a pencil. Then again, I haven't paid much attention. This is my scientific analysis and I'm sticking to it. Marilyn
I can't believe how much they are changing! I love the way Avery is looking at Grampa. Like she's thinking "Hey I think I'm getting the hang of this eating thing."
See you next weekend!
