Ottawa Trip - July 2009

With my pseudo-vacation in full swing we were off again to Ottawa. Again this year we went to the Children's Museum and the ValleyView Little Animal Farm. It was absolutely sweltering with the heat up towards 39 degrees, it was ok that the sunny days were spent at the museum. Everett peed his pants within the first 15 minutes so he ran around the museum with just his underwear on. People started to ask questions, and no one was pecked or poked by any of the animals. Good day!

Toronto Trip - June 2009

The time is upon us again this year, our annual summer trip to Toronto. We partook in our usual fun & frivolity @ Canada's Wonderland, kicked it up a notch for The Toronto Zoo. This years' trip to CW went considerably better than previous year. While anticipating a meltdown once we hit the Scoobydoo Carousel, I was pleasantly surprised with absolutely no issues, NOT even when they told me the Spalsh Park was closed. We compensated with ice cream and eveyone was perfectly happy with that. Everyone went on the roller coaster, only 2 wanted to go again, and only 1 was able to go a second time because he met the height requirement. All 3 went on their first ride by themselves and had a blast. These family vacations are getting better every year!

Also we decided the try the Zoo this year. It was THE Howatt family day as ALL the Howatts attended. Jeff, Diane, Jamie, Matt & Steph accompanied us. The kids did not enjoy as much as I would have thought but the Sapsh Park was certainly a hit. Oh, and by the way, we DID NOT kill that elephant.
