The End...Almost

Well 2 years is almost up and that means the faithful readers will be slightly disappointed. When this blog all began, we vowed to give it up after the first year. But as you can see that didn't happen. Much has happened during those 2 years, and it has gone by so quickly, I can hardly believe I am expected to return to WORK in a few months. We have done lots of fun things, and the best part was spending the most valuable time with the 3 amigos.

We will be posting entries of our cross-country adventure in the RV, so stay tuned.

Ottawa Trip - July 2008

With summer now in full swing, we are venturing off again, this time to visit Auntie Shannon in Ottawa. Our goal this time was to visit the Children's Museum, the Valleyview Small Animal Farm and the Museum of Nature.
On Monday we visited the Children's Museum which is situated inside the Museum of Civilization. Its geared entirely towards children so everything is miniature sized. You can visit a local market in Asia, you can have a siesta in Mexico, visit the pyramids in Egypt, or play chess in Morocco. All of which we did.

On Tuesday we went to a local petting farm, where the kids could up close and personal with small farm animals. Since our visit to Nadine's', riding horses and seeing cows are all they ever talk about. This time they got to have their hands licked by goats, Grace got her fingers pecked by the chickens AND the geese and ride a stagecoach.

On Wednesday we headed to the Museum of Nature for the dinosaur exhibit. Ever since Todd & Carole gave the kids the box FULL of dinosaurs they have been crazy for them ever since.

We headed home on Thursday after our whirlwind tour of Ottawa.

Canada Day 2008

This year we spent Canada Day in Killarney at the infamous fish 'n chips stand along the wharf. We took our picnic to the lighthouse and played in the water and ate fish.
