Little Pink Riding Hood

For as long as I can remember Grace has been tying pajamas around her neck pretending it was a cape. Well recently I made her dream come true. I bought her a real cape. The day it arrived, she was just beside herself with joy. She ran around the house with her cape flowing behind her. She admired herself in the reflection of the tv for a good portion of the afternoon. She wore it most of the evening, up until bedtime. And surprisingly enough no one has tried to rip it off her neck for themselves. Avery tells every one the it is Grace's.

New Baby Beard

Congratulations go out to Tom, Michelle & Gabe on their newest addition Jack Ellis. He was born on Friday February 29th weighing in at a 10 lbs 10 oz.

Picasso's in the making

Well it was originally intended to be FINGER painting but it was more like body painting than anything else. More paint ended up on the body than it did on the paper. But for a 1st time I think everything went relatively well. And very little was ingested, I think.

Happy 1st Birthday to Ava

Over the weekend we were invited to Ava's 1st birthday party. Our first party of 2008 and we had some fun. Grace and Everett helped themselves to the cheezies and Avery preferred the salty chip snacks. At one point a carrot was offered by mom of course, but was disdainfully declined. The food was terrific and a many thanks to the host/hostess Jenny & Rob for inviting us.
