Where's the beach, dude?

I am not if everyone is aware of Avery's little fetish, but she has an interest in wearing her outwear around the house. She enjoys putting on her hat and mitts, along with a pair of shoes and walking around the house. However she is not satisfied with just one outfit but feels the need to change an item every few minutes. With our upcoming trip, I have been taking out some of their summer clothes to be washed and packed. Included in these items are the bikinis and sandals. Avery wanted to wear her bikini top with her sandals so we put them on and she stayed that way until it was time for her nap.

This CAN'T be a good sign can it?

I think it may be time for a haircut

When Grace woke this morning it looked as though a large bird had made its home or was in the process of constructing a home in her hair. Every strand was askew giving her the appearance that she had just gotten off a really fast boat. But that is not the end of the story, I had an appointment this morning and upon my return found the kids all sleeping. Not unusual until Grace made her grand entrance. At first I thought she was really sweaty, but taking a closer look saw her hair had been greased in attempts to tame it. With that being said I figured it was time to make an appointment for a new 'do.

The Santa Clause Parade

On Saturday evening, Grandpa Howatt, Letty, myself and the kids braved the cold for our first annual Santa Clause Parade. With everyone bundled from head to toe, we stood on the street corner anxiously waiting for the parade to begin. It took us a while to maneuver ourselves through the crowds and find the perfect spot.
Once the first firetruck, with lights & sirens blazing, came around the corner Everett was simply mesmerized. He did not stop gasping all evening. Grace was gleefully screaming her face off, and Avery had a more reserved enjoyment.
Kudos to Letty, who braved her first semi-winter experience. With her hat, mitts, scarf, and 2 jackets, she was not so prepared for the wintery-blasts of northern winds.
But she hung in there like a trooper. I think if we ask her next year if she would like to join us again, she will probably say 'Um, no thanks'.

The Girl in the Bucket

No its not the boy in the bubble, its the girl in the bucket.

A milestone for Everett

Everett has reached yet another milestone in his ever busy life. Tonight for the first time, Everett fed himself with a spoon. It was a few pieces of cheese, but it most certainly was the beginning of something. We are so proud of him.

She's alive, allliiivvveee!

Although Halloween has come and gone, Avery should have gone as Frankenstein instead of a L'il Monster.

Cocktails, anyone?

While Auntie Shannon was visiting us this weekend, we managed a bit of playroom time. You will see that either Mommy needs to get out of the house for some fresh air or she needs to be admitted into therapy.

For Daddy in China

Brushing the teeth

As everyone knows in this day and age, oral hygiene is an important part of daily life. Just as important for adults can be said the same for little people as well. Since the teeth have begun to pile up I decided it was time to get them used to the toothbrush.
They are honing their brushing skills as you can see here.
