Searchin' for the LOSER CRUISER!

I don't think there was ever any doubt that we would need something spacious to drive. A minivan deal was pretty much sealed the day we got the blood test. Nobody can convince me they are cool, despite all the comments like; "The new ones are so nice", "They make them so sporty now", "Mine has more power than you might think....". Minivans suck, I know it, you know it. On a Saturday morning in February at 4:45am, it needs room to hold 3 hockey bags and 1 EXTRA LARGE Timmy's.

So we have been looking and have learned a few things; we need 60/40 stow n go rear seats with car-seat attachments on the 40 side. This is so we can seat all three kids and still have reasonable room for stuff and dogs. The only 2 minivans this is available in are the 2006 Odyssey and most modern Siennas. Caravan has the third car seat on the 60 side, Montana does not have stow n go, most other models are a bench. Did you know the only minivan available which allows you to seat 3 car-seats in the second row is the 8 passenger Toyota Sienna?

My favorite is the Honda, but that has 2 problems; it is the most expensive and we can't buy a used one. Used ones are hard to come by and pre 2006, the car seat fixtures are only on the 60% side!

A 2004-2005 8 passenger Sienna is most likely what we will end up with, but the Honda sure is nice. What do you think?

Posing for pictures....

Finally decent photos of all three. Triplet A and B as labelled are the gals, Triplet C the lad. These were taken during the anatomy ultrasound mentioned earlier. However since it took 3 1/2 hours to do the ultrasound, the front office was closed by the time we got done.

It is a touch early, but I think it is pretty obvious the A is the looker, B has the brains (you can actually see it), and C is an excellent skater.

Generosity from where you least expect it!

Kristen's friend from work Lisa Fenlan came through big time for us when she heard her neighbor was selling off a bunch of baby clothes. After getting the inside scoop, Lisa went over and scavenged 7 boxes of clothes! Many very nice things, all of which we will use. Dad may not always get the right bottoms matched with the tops, but take a look at the picture showing the pile-o-clothes and you understand why!

Baby got back........

Kelly Nolan, here is the side shot you asked for. At this point I have been kicked out of the bed and mama has about 7 pillows (body, plush, angle, etc) wedged around her to help her sleep. Not even the dogs want to share the couch with me :(

GROUND ZERO aka "The Nursery"

With recent gifts from everyone, Linda's painting, and a new light, the nursery is starting to come together. Thank's to Steve Wright who has offered to help with the wooden shutter's we are planning. We have all three cribs ready in the que thanks to everyone's generosity, we will be adding mobiles. chair swings, a change table, and wardrobe! Mom is going to need a comfy feeding chair on the landing outside the nursery, but she needs some convincing, help me talk her into it!

The Great Sell-Off Begins.......

FOR SALE - 2 Seater 4x4 pick-up truck. With a wife, three kids, and 2 dogs the truck just don't cut it. So my little truck of 11 years has gotta go to make room for the loser cruiser. We are going to buy Kristen a van (Toyota Sienna is her preference) and I will take the Ford Escape. Along with the truck we also had a massive yard sale where I was the hit of the neighborhood selling everything for the rock bottom price of $0.25! The good news is now our basement is cleaned out, organized and ready for the chaos to begin.

The SHOWERs of help and love have begun!

Last Saturday Kristen was surprised when a group of the ladies who have been a strong part of her life had a baby shower at Linda Adler's house. She got a number of wonderfully thoughtful gifts and more importantly got to spend an afternoon talking about babies, preparations, and life changes!

30 Fingers, 30 Toes.........Check

Anatomy ultrasound went very well. Everything they measured, counted and prodded came back NORMAL. So all three are healthy, but cramped. The other thing that may be of interest to some of you is that we determined the sexes. Although never 100% (especially because it is hard to see with 3), we have been truly blessed with a boy and two girls. The plans have begun! SUMMARY -- Anatomy = Normal -- Gender = XX, XX, XY
